Head Coach // 10 Pink

Maggie Thornburg is the Head Coach for UPVBC 10 Pink and a Varsity Assistant at Bishop Kelley High School. She played at Bishop Kelley and Team Tulsa, serving as team captain and winning two State Championships.

This is Maggie’s ninth year coaching at Ultimate and her third season with BKHS. Inspired by her own coaches, she focuses on teaching the game the right way, helping players develop fundamental skills in serving, passing, setting, and hitting while fostering teamwork, confidence, and a love for volleyball.

Maggie enjoys coaching young and new players, watching them grow and gain confidence. She emphasizes a positive team culture, celebrating breakthroughs, encouraging effort, and making practice both fun and gamelike. Her goal is for players to learn life skills, including communication, accountability, and teamwork, that extend beyond the court.

Outside of volleyball, Maggie is the director of a preschool and loves spending time with her family.
