Head Coach // MS Boys

Coach Hinds has been coaching and playing volleyball for 26 years and bring a wealth of knowledge to Ultimate Performance Volleyball Club. He has played at the highest level along with some of the best players and coaches in the world, including Carl McGown, Hugh McCutcheon and Troy Tanner.

Coach Hinds started playing volleyball when he was 16 under the direction of Peggy McCaw. While in high school he was named to the Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 and also chosen for the 1994 Junior National Team.  He was recruited by some of the top D1 collegiate Men’s volleyball programs in the country and decided to play for Brigham Young University. He was a 4-year started as an outside hitter while at BYU. During his senior year, BYU won the 1999 National Championships and Coach Hinds was named to the MPSF All Conference Team and voted by his coaching staff as the Team MVP. After college he was invited to play with the USAV National Team but decided to venture to beach volleyball. He played both semi-pro and professionally until 2007 when he married his college sweetheart. They now have 3 children and live in Jenks.

Since moving back to Oklahoma in 2002, Coach Hinds has been involved with coaching volleyball with several club teams, including a sand volleyball club in the summer of 2019. Coach Hinds is in his fourth year coaching for Ultimate Performance and enjoys passing the knowledge and skills he has learned during his years of playing on to young players.
